This Privacy Policy explains how Plant Pulse handles information when you use the Plant Pulse mobile app. Plant Pulse is a plant care tracker for reminders, plant profiles, photos, weather-based care tips, harvest records, and garden expense tracking.
Information We Collect Or Access
Plant care information you enter
Plant Pulse lets you create and manage plant care records. Depending on how you use the app, this may include:
- Plant name, plant type, soil type, watering interval, repot interval, and notes
- Care actions such as watered, snoozed, or skipped reminders
- Plant photos you take or select, or photo links you choose to paste
- Harvest inventory entries and garden expense records
- Reminder settings and app preferences
This information is stored locally on your device using local app storage. We do not operate a Plant Pulse server that receives or stores your plant records.
Photos and camera access
If you choose to add plant photos, the app may ask for access to your camera or photo library. Photos are used only for plant profiles and care history inside the app. Plant Pulse does not upload your selected photos to our server.
Weather searches
The weather feature lets you search for a city. The city name is sent to Open-Meteo geocoding and weather services to find matching weather data. The app may store your last selected city and related latitude/longitude locally on your device so you can refresh the weather screen more easily. Plant Pulse does not request precise GPS location permission for this feature.
Advertising data
Plant Pulse uses Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK to display ads. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share information such as IP address, advertising identifiers, app interactions, diagnostic information, device/account identifiers, and approximate location inferred from IP address. Google uses this data for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Data handled by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit.

Support emails
If you contact us by email, we may receive your email address and the information you include in your message. We use this only to respond to your request, provide support, or handle app-related questions.
How We Use Information
We use information for the following purposes:
- To save and display your plant care records inside the app
- To schedule and show plant care reminders and notifications
- To show weather information and care suggestions based on city search
- To show ads that support the app
- To troubleshoot issues and respond to support emails
- To protect the app from fraud, abuse, or technical problems
How Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal and sensitive user data. Plant Pulse may share or transmit limited data in these situations:
- Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK: Used to show ads and support advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention.
- Open-Meteo: Used when you search for a city or refresh weather data.
- Photo URLs: If you paste a web image URL or use an automatic web photo, your device may request that image from the external image host.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
Data Retention And Deletion
Plant records, photos, notes, reminders, harvest entries, finance entries, and settings remain on your device until you edit or delete them, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Because Plant Pulse does not maintain user accounts or a Plant Pulse cloud database, deleting app data from your device deletes the local app records controlled by the app.
Support emails may be kept as long as needed to respond to your request, maintain records, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations. Third-party services may retain information according to their own privacy policies.
Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect information handled by the app. Weather and advertising requests use HTTPS or SDK transport security where supported. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices
- You can edit or delete plant records inside the app.
- You can remove app data by clearing app storage or uninstalling Plant Pulse.
- You can allow or deny camera, photo library, and notification permissions in your device settings.
- You can reset or delete your Android advertising ID in your device privacy settings.
- You can contact us about privacy questions at the email address below.
Children's Privacy
Plant Pulse is not directed to children under 13 years old, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
International Users
Third-party services used by the app, such as Google AdMob and Open-Meteo, may process information in countries other than your own. Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies and applicable law.
Changes To This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of Plant Pulse after a policy update means you accept the updated policy.
