Privacy Policy - Ping Sync

Ping Sync is a reminder and follow-up app. It helps you save messages, contacts, reminder times, notes, attachments, and notification settings so you can remember to reply later.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on the features you use, Ping Sync may collect or access the following information:

Images, videos, and shared content	When you attach media or share text, links, images, or videos into Ping Sync from another app.	To keep the selected content with the reminder you created.
Contacts permission	Only if you use the contact picker.	To let you select a contact name. Ping Sync does not sell your contacts.
Microphone or speech recognition input	Only if you use voice input.	To convert your speech into reminder text. Speech recognition may be processed by your device or operating system services.
Notification and device token information	When push notifications are enabled through Firebase Cloud Messaging.	To send or manage reminder-related push notifications.
Device, app, advertising, and usage data related to ads	When ads are loaded or shown through Google AdMob.	To show, measure, limit, and improve ads, including app-open, banner, interstitial, and native ads.
Local settings and analytics	When you use preferences, reminders, reports, and app activity features.	To remember your settings and show app usage reports such as captures, completion rate, streaks, and app opens.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

Create, edit, display, search, archive, delete, and export reminders.
Schedule local notifications and recurring reminders.
Receive content that you intentionally share into Ping Sync from other apps.
Provide optional contact picking, voice input, media attachment, and overlay bubble features.
Generate reports and PDF or CSV exports that you choose to create.
Send and manage push notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging.
Show and measure advertisements through Google AdMob.
Maintain app security, reliability, debugging, and fraud prevention.

3. Local Storage

Ping Sync stores reminder data and preferences on your device using local app storage. This may include reminder text, contact names you save, reminder times, notes, statuses, priorities, attachment references, notification settings, and local report data.

If you delete reminders, clear completed or archived reminders, clear app data, or uninstall the app, locally stored app data may be removed from your device depending on your device settings and operating system behavior.

4. Backend and Push Notification Services

Ping Sync uses Firebase services, including Firebase Cloud Messaging, to support push notifications. A device notification token may be stored locally and may be sent to the app backend so notifications can be delivered.

If a signed-in user account is available in the app environment, API requests may include an authentication token so backend services can identify authorized requests. Ping Sync does not intentionally collect passwords through this Privacy Policy page.

5. Advertising

Ping Sync uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect or receive device information, advertising identifiers, IP address, app activity, diagnostics, ad impressions, ad clicks, and related usage data to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

You may be able to reset or limit your device advertising identifier in your Android device settings. Availability of controls depends on your device, Android version, and region.

6. Permissions

Ping Sync may request the following Android permissions, depending on your device and app features:

Notifications: to show reminder alerts.
Contacts: to let you choose a contact name for a reminder.
Photos, videos, camera, or storage access: to attach media to reminders, depending on Android version and picker behavior.
Microphone or speech recognition: to support optional voice input.
Display over other apps: to support the optional overlay bubble feature.
Internet: for ads, Firebase services, push notifications, and backend communication.
Boot, wake, vibration, foreground service, and exact alarm related permissions: to keep reminder notifications reliable.

You can disable permissions in your device settings. Some features may not work correctly if required permissions are disabled.

7. Sharing Information

We may share information in the following situations:

With service providers: such as Google Firebase and Google AdMob, for app functionality, notifications, advertising, measurement, security, and fraud prevention.
When you choose to share: for example, when you export CSV/PDF files or share reminder text using your device's share sheet.
For legal reasons: if required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, security, and prevent abuse.
Business transfer: if the app or related assets are transferred, merged, or sold, with appropriate notice where required.

We do not sell your personal and sensitive user data.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Reminder data stored locally remains on your device until you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Data sent to service providers is retained according to their policies and as needed to provide services, comply with law, prevent abuse, or maintain security.

To request deletion of data associated with Ping Sync, contact us at shuvo4727@gmail.com. Please include enough information for us to identify the data you want deleted. We may need to retain limited information where required by law or for security and fraud-prevention purposes.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no app, network, storage system, or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10. Children's Privacy

Ping Sync is not directed to children under 13 and is not intended for child-directed use. If you believe a child has provided personal information through Ping Sync, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

11. International Transfers

Service providers used by Ping Sync, including Google services, may process information on servers located in different countries. By using Ping Sync, you understand that information may be processed outside your country of residence where permitted by law.

12. Your Choices

You can delete reminders inside the app.
You can clear completed or archived reminders from Settings.
You can disable notifications, contacts, microphone, media, and overlay permissions in Android settings.
You can export data from the app when you choose to do so.
You can contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of data associated with Ping Sync.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we update it, we will change the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of Ping Sync after an update means you accept the updated policy, where permitted by law.
