Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Fit Fuel ("we", "our", or "us") handles your information when you use our mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

1. Information We Collect

Fit Fuel is designed as a local-first application. The vast majority of your data never leaves your device.

Data stored only on your device:

• Calorie logs and food entries (name, calories, macros, meal type, timestamp)
• Water intake logs (amount in ml, timestamp)
• Workout sessions (name, type, duration, sets/reps, calories burned, timestamp)
• Weight entries (weight in kg, optional note, timestamp)
• App preferences (theme mode, daily goals, reminder settings)

Data used for AI Diet Plan generation (optional feature):

• Age, weight, height, gender, fitness goal, and activity level — entered voluntarily by you when you request a diet plan. This data is processed on-device using a local calculation engine (Mifflin-St Jeor formula) and is not transmitted to any server.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit:

• Your name, email address, or any account credentials
• Location data or GPS coordinates
• Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or fingerprints
• Contacts, photos, or any other media
• Health data from Apple Health or Google Fit (no integration exists)
• Crash reports or analytics telemetry
• Payment or financial information

3. How We Use Your Information

All data processing happens locally on your device to provide the following features:

• Displaying your daily calorie, water, and workout summaries
• Generating your weight-progress chart
• Calculating a personalized diet plan using your body metrics
• Sending local push notifications for water reminders (using flutter_local_notifications — no server involved)
• Persisting your preferences (theme, goals) across app sessions

4. Local Notifications

Fit Fuel AI may request permission to send you local notifications to remind you to drink water. These notifications are scheduled entirely on-device by the flutter_local_notifications package. No notification content is ever sent to or from a remote server.

You can disable notifications at any time in your device's system settings.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your fitness data is stored using Hive, an encrypted local database on your device. App preferences are stored using SharedPreferences. Neither storage mechanism sends data off-device.

Data security depends on your device's built-in security measures (screen lock, encryption). We recommend keeping your device up-to-date and protected with a PIN or biometric lock.

6. Third-Party Services

Fit Fuel does not currently integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. The only external resources loaded at runtime are Google Fonts (typography), which may result in a network request to Google's CDN on first launch to download the font files. 7. Children's Privacy

Fit Fuel is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete that information.

8. Your Rights

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control:

• Access: All your data is visible within the app at all times.
• Deletion: Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all locally stored data. Individual entries can also be deleted inside the app.
• Portability: No data export feature is currently offered, as no data is stored on our servers.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or California and believe you have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA, please contact us. Given that we collect no personal data on our servers, most regulatory obligations do not apply, but we are happy to assist with any questions.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will post a notice within the app. Continued use of Fit Fuel after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
